L.A

I  couldn't be more excited to share my first trip to Cali with you. L.A remind's me a lot of my hometown Miami. With an amazing grunge music scene, daytime beach glam vibe, and vibrant night life there is an adventure to be found in L.A for everyone. Los Angeles It has Miami's beach culture, Las Vegas oasis in the desert, and Colorado's  mountains all in one awesome place.

L.A is HUGE and there is no exaggeration in this statement. I thought I would never see traffic as bad as Miami but, I was wrong. Traffic in L.A is unreal, motorcycles weaving in and out of traffic and 16 lanes in one highway. Yikes! Don't let this scare you off though, consider the immense vastness of things L.A has to offer you.

With an L.A playlist stocked with L.L Cool J (I'm going back to Cali), 2 faithful travel companions, and an itinerary jam packed. We  took on quite an adventure. It was so refreshing to be a stranger in a new city with nothing but some sandals, a backpack full of 35 mm camera's, and your best friends. I can see myself making another trip back to this beautiful city. There is only so much time I had and a weekend was not nearly enough time to see L.A. If you have any suggestions for some places in L.A for me to have a photography adventure I'd love some suggestions.

Kansas 2014// Road trip!

Like polar bears Dylan and I migrated down south for a weekend visit to Oklahoma. We left town to visit with his wonderful family in Norman, Oklahoma. The fact that we skipped a snow storm heading into Denver that weekend just a small perk. We traveled through Colorado and Kansas to reach Oklahoma. Nothing like blasting jams at 3:00 am on the open road and seeing America wake up.

The best part of driving 10 hours through Kansas? Food!!!!! I don't know about you guys but a Braum's shake at 11:00 and a good book? Nothing like that to get the creative juices flowing. I never had Braum's before we don't have them in either Colorado or Florida so that was quite the pleasant surprise.

Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder and although, most complain about the flatness and plainness of Kansas. There is great beauty to be in minimalism in fields of nothing with just your thoughts.

Magic City

Magical Miami palm trees, sandy beaches, and waves for days. This time I was quite adventurous and explored a bit more on my journey. I loved hanging out with my family, acquiring freshly rolled cigars, and eating the most tasty of Cuban cuisine. This trip was different from the most I went to the sunny keys.
We saw Hemingway's house, stood 90 miles from Cuba, and basked in the sunny islands.If you ever find yourself in the Magic City here are a couple of places I personally recommend. I think they would make a great addition to your travel itinerary.

Magic City: Miami

Happy Monday, I am writing today from lovely Denver! Just came back from Miami. While I was down in the dirty south I did a lap or two in my favorite places: Little Havana, South Beach, and Miami Beach. This time we switched it up a little bit and took a trip to the Florida Keys! It was a completely different scene a little less Great Gatsby  and a little more Americana proletariat. It was a grand adventures always nevertheless. Dylan and I are about to take the grandest adventure of all... We got engaged on Biscayne Bay December. 26 , 2013. We couldn't be more excited.

 While in Miami Dylan and I took a tour on a double decker bus. Big Red Bus Miami provided  a birds eye view at a low cost and a fun way to see a new city. We were able to hop on and hop off and get complementary drinks at the Cleavlander on South Beach. Whatever cultural stop interested us we just simply hopped off the bus and picked up our ride at the same spot 1/2 an hour later!

Will keep posting pictures from my awesome trip to Miami. Soon you will grow to know the Magic City as well as I do!

Viva Las Vegas

Sometimes a girl just needs some adventure in life. I love the feeling falling asleep in an airplane and waking up in an unknown city. From the moment I opened my eyes the first sight I saw from my  was a brightly lit runway alongside the many luxurious hotels iridescent along the strip. I saw the glitter and glitz and fell in love with Sin City. We decided to take a walk through the strip at two in the morning and there was always something to do and so many things to see. I had my doubts at first I mean who hasn't heard awful things about Vegas.
I was shying away from buying tickets to fly to Las Vegas in the hottest month of the year but there were so many good hotels showcasing their finest deals for summer travelers. One finds creative ways to keep hydrated. Contrary to the popular consent walking the strip is also quite lovely. There are so many characters and things to be missed if you take an expensive cab ride. Some of my favorite times in Las Vegas were spent walking and finding new adventures in all the nice cafe's and in the air-conditioned luxury goods malls.
Lastly as cliche as it may seam you only live once so might as well gamble a tad just to see what it is like. I made sure to gamble only small bills and actually ended up wining $119 when I only gambled 5 dollars. It might be a good idea to just take what you are willing to gamble and leave the rest of your money and debit card in the hotel room. Once its gone it usually doesn't come back.
